Accounting Manager – Administration – Jasper

Positions are available at the following locations: TRI-CAP in Jasper, Indiana

Accounting Manager – Administration – Jasper, Full Time- 37.5 hours per week

We are looking for a dynamic, organized and detail-oriented Accounting Manager.  This individual will be experienced and have successfully managed all key finance functions of a complex organization (non-profit a plus) with multiple revenue sources.  Strong supervisory experience is desired.

Complete monthly and annual account reconciliations, including journal entries and processes to close the books and prepare financial statements for all internal programs in compliance with TRI-CAP’s accounting processes and funder requirements.  File monthly reimbursement claims and supervises the Fiscal Specialist tasked with the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.  Serve as primary reviewer and back-up for TRI-CAP’s payroll processing function.

Minimum qualifications are a four-year degree in accounting or 3-5 year of general accounting experience.  Good communication and time-management skills are required.  A thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting principles especially as related to not-for-profit accounting.

  • Must have knowledge of a variety of software applications (MS office).
  • Must be proficient with 10-key adding machine.
  • Must have effective interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Some analytical ability is required in order to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various administrative problems and prioritize work.
  • Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
