What is Head Start Preschool?
Head Start Preschool is a comprehensive child development program which serves children age 3 to 5 and their families. Individualized services are provided in the areas of early childhood education and development; medical, dental and mental health, nutrition and parent involvement.
TRI-CAP Head Start Preschool serves age and income eligible preschool children and their families at 4 centers (Jasper, Petersburg, Boonville, and Newburgh). TRI-CAP offers a variety of program models to meet family needs.
Process and options to sign up your child for Head Start Preschool:
Review and collect all TRI-CAP Head Start Preschool Application Requirements.
Print the Pre-application. After completing the Pre-application, fill it out, and return it and all required documents to one of our offices in Jasper, Petersburg or Boonville (see locations below). Outdoor drop boxes available at all locations.
Stop by the TRI-CAP site nearest to you to pick up a copy of the Pre-application. After completing the Pre-application, fill it out, and return it and all required documents to one of our offices in Jasper, Petersburg or Boonville (see locations below). Call the TRI-CAP site nearest to you and request an application be mailed to you. After completing the Pre-application, fill it out, and return it and all required documents to to one of our offices in Jasper, Petersburg or Boonville (see locations below).

Children receive breakfast and/or lunch and snacks each day the classrooms are in session. TRI-CAP participates in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).
